Bel Ysoh

/ Bel Ysoh [1991], lives and works in São Paulo.

Bel Ysoh’s artistic practice moves between ceramics, painting, and photography. She holds a BA in Graphic Design from Mackenzie Presbyterian University and has participated in artist residencies at EKWC in Oisterwijk, the Netherlands, and at Edifício Verá in São Paulo. Ysoh develops an investigative practice that engages with the material qualities of the media she works with. At the same time, she reconfigures questions surrounding tradition and the immaterial dimensions historically associated with these media. This reflection forms one of the starting points of her artistic language, which is shaped by inquiries into cultural heritage and the formation of subjectivity. Relationships between memory, tradition, and transformation, as well as the tensions between inherited cultural and social codes, displacement, and rupture, are central to her visual poetics.

She presented the solo exhibition Trajetos de Identidade (2023) at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the University of São Paulo (MAC USP) and has participated in group exhibitions including O drama da forma (2026) at Claraboia; Nós (2024) at Galeria Diáspora; and Plantão 397 (2021) at Ateliê 397.

Ana Clara Tito
[Bom Jardim, 1993]

/ Ana Clara Tito lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil. Tito holds a degree in Industrial Design from the School of Industrial Design at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (2018) and a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from the same institution’s Graduate Program in Arts. Tito investigates the relationships between bodies, forms of existence, and the spaces we build and inhabit. Photographs, objects, performances, and installations form a practice that brings together references to architecture and archaeology through materials and supports such as concrete, clay, and oxidized metals. Tito’s works create landscapes marked by incompleteness and permeated by tensions between permanence and transience. In recent years, Tito’s research has focused on photo-sculptures that expand the boundaries of the image beyond static representation, drawing on a poetics that understands memory as permeable and unstable.

Tito has held solo exhibitions at Galeria Cavalo and Auroras (2023), as well as at the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro (2021). Tito participated in the 38th Panorama of Brazilian Art (2024) and in group exhibitions including A construção at Solar dos Abacaxis (2020), Despertar Inconsciente at Casa Bicho (2022), and Palimpsesto Sentido at Kubikgallery in Porto (2023). Tito presented the performance Os usos da raiva at the open space of Pina Contemporânea in São Paulo, MAM Rio, and Centro Municipal de Arte Hélio Oiticica. Tito’s works are held in institutional collections including the Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR) and the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro.

Ana Neves

/ Ana Neves manipulates the image in her paintings and drawings to highlight the interconnection between human beings and their surroundings, activating hybrid bodies: merging the human form with fauna, flora and objects, revealing both the shared world and the tensions of belonging and resistance. Her trajectory begins in literature; therefore, word and image coexist as speculative forces in her work. The artist develops her own figurative lexicon from a recurring repertoire of signs connected to her personal formation, such as bridges and curved, scored structures linking one place to another.

Her main exhibitions include the solo show Tropical Trópico: Aqui Tudo Derrete  [2025], at Torre Malakoff, Recife; and the group shows Alumbramento, at Museu Nacional da República, Brasília; Inferno—Cânticos, at Garrido Galeria, and Tocar o céu com as mãos, at Amparo 60, both in Recife. Anna Bella Geiger

/ A key figure in both Brazilian and global art, Anna Bella Geiger's career spans seven decades, ranging from 1960 to the present day. Her career has parallelled the institutional development of the arts in Brazil, as well as the Brazilian art market and its internationalization. Geiger, the daughter of Polish Jewish immigrants, studied with the Polish-Brazilian artist Fayga Ostrower at the beginning of her artistic career. In 1953, she took part in the 1st National Abstract Art Exhibition alongside Ivan Serpa, Antonio Bandeira, Lygia Clark, and Lygia Pape. After studying with Ostrower, a geometric abstract artist, she expanded her artistic production during the subsequent decades with a body of work that is diverse in terms of both its themes and form, abandoning her abstract tendencies during the start of the Brazilian military dictatorship in 1965. Influenced by New Figuration, between 1965 and 1968 she produced her visceral Series, a term coined by Mário Pedrosa. This body of work paves the way for appropriation and cartographic subversion, techniques that have been a constant in her work ever since. In the 1970s, she began to produce her work in dialogue with the conceptual waves of the time, also incorporating reproducible forms of media, such as photography, collage, and video. Her work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York [MoMA]; the Tate Modern, Victoria, and Albert Museums in London; the MACBA in Barcelona; the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art [MAM SP]; and University of São paulo Museum of Contemporary Art [MAC USP]; among others.

The art produced by Anna Bella Geiger is characterized by dichotomies, contrast, and edge. Her work has a strong critical voice and challenges hegemonic geopolitical constructs, coming together to produce a diverse, rigorous oeuvre. In the Visceral Series, her composition achieves completeness by extracting shapes from human organs and placing them both in focus and contrast against a monochrome background: an allusion to the violence of the dictatorial regime. It was then that she began investigating forms in opposition to their assigned meanings. By subverting the reading and content of cartographies, she challenges cultural notions of both the center and the periphery. Through her visual reflections, Anna Bella Geiger developed a contemporary poetics of space. By rendering an objective reading of maps unfeasible, it also opened the door to critical knowledge, making it possible to see the world in a new way. With the series Retratos [1970], Geiger wielded the critical strength of her work to reflect on Brazil's colonial heritage, for example in her quintessential work Brasil Nativo/Brasil Alienígena [1977], which brings together reflections from the academic fields of art, history, and social sciences.

Anna Bella Geiger's works are part of the following collections: Museum of Modern Art(Moma), Nova York; Centre Pompidou, Paris; MACBA, Barcelona; Museo Centro de Arte Reina, Madrí; Victoria & Albert Museum, Londres; Fogg Museum, Cambridge; Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo (MAM – SP), São Paulo; Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo (MAC – USP), São Paulo, among others.

Darks Miranda
[Fortaleza, 1985]

/ Darks Miranda is an artist and filmmaker. In her work—combining video, sculpture, performance, and installation—she employs montage as a linguistic strategy and delves into the sci-fi imaginaries of the last century to reflect on the failure of the Western modernizing project and its notions of future and progress. In her video pieces, the artist weaves together found-footage images through an inventive editing process that plays with superimposition and excess, creating compositions and visual worlds that hover between fiction and performative reality. In her sculptural practice, the archaeological nature of objects is expanded, as is the sensation of inhabiting a parallel dimension: scenic landscapes are populated by beings forged from synthetic materials such as latex, resin, plastics, pigments, spray paint and, more recently, mineral substances like clay and ceramic glazes.

She has taken part in exhibitions at institutions such as Centro Internacional das Artes José de Guimarães [Portugal], Tate Modern [UK], Centro de Cultura Digital CDMX [Mexico], Centre Georges Pompidou [France], as well as the 14th Bienal do Mercosul. In 2025, she was one of the winners of the PIPA Prize.

Emilio Azevedo

/ Emilio Azevedo’s practice unfolds through a theoretical deepening of the factual possibilities of photography itself. His framing and enlargement techniques highlight a phantasmagoric dimension, questioning and destabilizing the biographies and social lives of objects, people, and elements of the landscape. His often immersive projects articulate archival research and field practices, forming series that reveal the fictional dimension embedded within major official narratives. The series Rondônia, ou Como Eu Me Apaixonei por uma Linha [2020] investigates how Western extractivist practices rely on visual regimes that shape the Amazonian territory through linear, rationalist, and profoundly cartographic structures. By straining these modes of seeing, the work unsettles dominant representational models and exposes their aesthetic, historical, and territorial implications. Rather than reaffirming established assignments, the artist explores the boundaries between the factual and the fictional, showing how these thresholds permeate the very image regimes that have shaped how the Amazon is read. His photographs do more than record: they shift, dismantle, and reimagine ways of capturing and constructing territory, cultivating what the artist describes as a 'visual an-archy'.

Azevedo’s work has been featured in exhibitions at institutions such as Musée du quai Branly and Festival PhotoSaintGermain, Paris; La Nombreuse and Wiels Contemporary Art Centre, Brussels; and Musée d'Art Contemporain d’Anvers. He has been awarded the PhMuseum 2025 Photography Grant; Prix pour la Photographie du Musée du quai Branly; FOMU — Museum of Photography Antwerp / TIFF Emerging Belgian Photography; Dior Photography and Visual Arts Award for Young Talents; Prix de Photographie; and was a finalist for the Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière Prize.

Florencia Rodríguez Giles
[Buenos Aires, 1978]

/ Florencia Rodríguez Giles’s artistic practice unfolds through contact with oneiric communities and other collective or relational processes that extend beyond dreaming itself. Throughout her process, exchanges with others can take many forms—from letters describing dreams to the sharing of daily life with people with psychosocial specificities at CAOS, a long-term project developed in the interior of Buenos Aires, where the artist works closely with local communities. These collaborations are projected into the artist’s monumental graphite drawings, innovative exhibition designs, and frenetic performances. The masks that she create offer pathways into alternative mental states that emphasize and redraw the sense of community experienced by performers or by those who come into contact with her work. The artist explores the field of creation through theoretical and philosophical frameworks linked to queer and post-humanist theory, proposing a practice that operates as a mediator between the worlds of wakefulness and dreaming. Her work not only builds a bridge between sleep and wakefulness, but also opens a space where marginal forms of knowledge, care, and collective imagination can unfold.

Florencia Rodríguez Giles has exhibited at institutions such as the Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires; TANK Shanghai; Museo Madre, Naples; Pivô, São Paulo; The Drawing Center, New York; and the 11th Berlin Biennial at KW Institute.

Jorge Guinle
[Nova York, EUA, 1947 —

Guinle was one of the most fundamental contributors to the exhibition Como vai você Geração 80?, at the School of Visual Arts at Parque Lage, Rio de Janeiro, and wrote a portion of the exhibition catalog, contributing to the group's theoretical foundation.

His ability to reinterpret the qualities of abstract painting present in other countries in the 1970s and 1980s set his work apart, distinguishing him among his Brazilian contemporaries. His paintings materialize not only Matissian and Picassian influences from the European modernist avant-garde, but also some of the most striking elements of the pictorial expression that emerged in the previous decades in Europe and North America. His use of colors are markedly different from those of American Neo-Expressionism and European abstract movements, such as the German group Die Wilde and Italian Transvanguardia. His compositional gestures expressed 'a fierce and humorous agitation', as critic Ronaldo Brito noted. The witty titles of his works add to the dynamism of his brushstrokes and unite his flow of ideas with the fluidity of his compositions. In turn, his colorful strokes were composed through contrast and overlap — part of his positivistic technique, produced through the addition of elements and layers. Guinle never sketched out his work before paintings. His technique was gestural, which allowed him to grasp both ideas and his surroundings in his paintings, leading to 'a permanent state of apprehension', in the words of Christina Bach.

Guinle's works are in the collections of: Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo (PINA); Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro; Museu Nacional de Belas Artes, Rio de Janeiro, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey; Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, (in Gilberto Chateaubriand collection); Centro Cultural Cândido Mendes, Rio de Janeiro. Roberto Marinho Collection, Rio de Janeiro, in addition to other collections.

Isabelle Passos

/Isabelle Passos graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from FAAP (Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado), and lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil.

Isabelle Passos' work consists of subverting the superficiality of paper and the rationality of drawing—to which design qualities have historically been attributed—to create a carnal language on the paper. Passos' work with materials such as charcoal, pastel chalk, graphite, and watercolor infuses the work with sensuality, revealing the plastic power of drawing. Her technique sometimes projects sinuous volumes onto the paper and brings voluptuousness as a central and unifying driving force organizing the composition. The reproduction of the engagement and friction between the silhouettes and techniques present in her works commonly leads the forms to liminality, found in the interplay between abstraction and figuration. Isabelle Passos produces in various sizes, some tiny and others almost monumental. Her drawings are visually registered as a play of textures, drawing the viewer in and causing them to lose themselves among the qualities of the paper and all the shades between black and white.

Her works were presented in various situations, such as her solo show Voragem [2026], lapa, Lapa, São Paulo; LXX Salão de Belas Artes de Piracicaba [2025], Pinacoteca Municipal “Miguel Dutra”, Piracicaba; and Cuir sou: notas sobre afetividade [2024], Verve Galeria, São Paulo.
